“Craziness”

Matt and I went to Hawaii for our anniversary (Sept 1st-8th) and ever since we got back, It has been nonstop GO, GO, GO..... I just posted pictures from our trip that we went on over a month ago. We have had to catch-up on work from vacation, we had to finalize everything so we could close on our new house, we had softball games 3 nights a week (The Rally Monkeys took first place again), we’ve had to pack boxes, clean, move and unpack boxes. It’s all good but, I am ready for a vacation again!! But that won’t be happening anytime soon since we just purchased our first house.

THANKS A MILLION to all our family and friends who could help us with our move!!! WE REALLY APPRECIATE ALL THE HELP!!!
Both my mom and mother in-law (Janice) have been tremendous help also!! They have taken extra time to come help us clean, unpack boxes, bring in meals for us or whatever else we needed. We are so grateful for your help and we love you both very much!!

“ALOHA”
For our second anniversary we went to Hawaii, Matt lived in Kihei on Maui with his cousin Kris ten years ago. It was my first time to Hawaii. We had so much fun seeing some of the places he hung out, we even saw one of his friends from back then! Maui is absolutely beautiful!! We stayed in Wailea for five days then went over to Hana for two days. The Hana coast has amazing and had endless tropical scenery but, we liked Wailea better. We went to Hamoa beach in Hana to go bodysurfing and while Matt was bodysurfing he lost his wedding ring in the ocean. We tried to find it but, never did. We both weren’t too happy after that…. These are a few of the pictures from the trip and a silde show with the rest.

Today is our 2 year Anniversary!

Two years ago today I was married to the most amazing man I've ever met. I am the luckiest woman in the world to be with Matt and spend forever with him. We have a great marriage and a lot of that is due to Matt being a great communicator. I have met few men so kind, generous, and genuine as Matt. He is such a hard worker and always wants to make our family better. Matt brings out the best in me and makes me want to be a better person, wife, friend and future mother.

Thank you Matt for the 2 amazing years! I'm excited for the next 60+ years, I am privileged to spend with you! You are my best friend and I am grateful everyday, to be married to you! I love you with all my heart babe!!

I have been a slacker blogger lately. August was a busy month for us.

My brother Zack, his wife Bethany and our nephew Jack came in town to visit from Indiana. They had a busy schedule while they were in town, Matt and I were only able to see them a couple of times. The family got together and had a BBQ/swim party at our place for my mom’s birthday. It was so good to see my brother and his family again! Our nephew Jack is so adorable and growing up to fast!! I hope they can move back home (Utah) soon!!

Demolition Derby (August 9th)
Becky, Darren, Matt and I went to another demolition derby. Our friends Rebecca and Doug invited us to come see Doug drive one of the cars.We had a good time! Unfortunately he didn't win. Las Vegas(Aug 10-13)

We went to Las Vegas for a family reunion(Matt's mom's side of the family). We all stayed at the Bally's hotel. It was so HOT in Vegas but, we had such a fun time!!

-Fall softball has started back up for us again, we are back to playing 3 nights a week. We love playing softball!!

-We spent lots of time looking for a house in August and we finally found one! We made an offer on the house and the seller's excepted the offer. WE are SO EXCITED!! We hope to close on the house in a couple of weeks and be moved in by the first of October.

Mom's Birthday
It was my Mom’s birthday last Friday, August 1st. I took her to the Martina McBride concert for her birthday. Melissa and her mom went with us too. It was at the Usana Amphitheatre that is the best place for concerts, I love that its outdoors! We all went to dinner before the concert at Chili’s (I love their chips and salsa, Yum). Martina sounded GREAT live!! I had a blast(Thanks Girls)!! I love you Mom, You're the BEST!!!

My cousin Shelby plays on a girl's competitive softball league, the Spiders. They had a tournament in Salt Lake a few weekends ago. Matt and I went to watch her and her team play. My mom, Dave ( step-dad) and my two younger cousins, Justice and Skye went with us too. Her team took 1st Place!!

Disappointing Bike Ride :(
We drove to Snowbird so we could go for a mountain bike ride. We were going to ride the tram up the mountain and then ride our bikes down. We bought the tickets for the tram got suited up then, went to get in the tram line only to find out that they weren’t letting bike riders down the mountain, because there was still too much snow (In the middle of July, grrrr). It was such a beautiful day! So we hang out up there for a little bit then came home and went for a bike ride around town.
Then that night we went to dinner and a Bee’s game with our friends Darren, Becky, Chris and Jenny. We went to the Training Table for dinner, it’s one of Matt’s favorite places for a burger. The game was fun even though the Bee’s lost and we were surrounded by the Young singles adults ward. The whole day was great, I love spending time with Matt!

Rally Monkeys #1
" We are the Champions", July 16th the Rally Monkeys took first place in our co-ed softball leauge.

Ashley, she's a rockstar!! She got a clock for being the #1 women's hitter in the whole leauge.

4th of July BBQ

We went to our friends Kaysi and Cody's house for a BBQ on the 4th of July. Out on their back deck you can see the whole Salt Lake Valley and all the fireworks that were going off in the Valley. It was awesome!!!

Derby Time

Last weekend we went to the West Jordan, Demolition Derby with some of our friends (Darren, Becky, Kable, Angie, Ryan, Kari, John and Michael). I think it would be a BLAST to compete in a derby! After the derby we went to Ryan and Kari 's house to hang out, we played Guitar Hero and other games on the Wii. We had such a fun night!!

Hanson Reunion
We went to the Hanson Family reunion up at East Canyon Resort. It was a camp out, I love to camp! The Camping spot we had was awesome! It was far away from other campers, it had big green grass area where we all played games and it had a huge tented area where we all could go for some shade. All the food that was prepared was so yummy.
We drove to the resort one day and spent time watching the kids play in the water fountains. It was so much fun, all the kids are so adorable! We enjoyed spending time with everyone and relaxing. At night we sat around the camp fire cooked s’mores and told old family memories or stories.
It was so wonderful to see everyone again, we are looking forward to next year’s reunion and we hope to see more people next year!

Softball Tournament
A few Saturdays ago Matt and I went to Wendover, NV to play in a softball tournament with our co-ed softball team, The Rally Monkeys. For those of you who don’t know, it usually takes about 1 hour and 45 minutes to get to Wendover but, we made it there in 1 hour (Matt did a great job driving FAST and safe). Good thing Johnny Law was still at the donut shop!
Our first game started at 10:00am, we had planned on leaving at 7:00 am so we could get there to warm up and be ready to play. We didn’t end up leaving Salt Lake until 8:30 am because the girl that was driving out with us forgot to set her alarm clock and didn’t wake up in time. The “monkeys” didn’t step up to the plate and play our “A” game. We lost the first two games but almost won the last one. We all had a blast playing though!!

Golfing!?!?!?!

My brother Brady and his girlfriend Melissa invited Matt and I out for a round of golf. This was my very first time out on a golf course. Um, lets just say I didn't shout “FORE'' to often and I won't be quitting my daytime job anytime soon to become a Pro golfer. While I was out on the course trying to master the technique I kept thinking about how my mother-in-law told me that she got a hole in one last year. I thought that that was impressive then, but now that I’ve given golf a try it is SO IMPRESSIVE!!! "Good Work Janice!" Matt and I had fun time, thanks for the invite Brady and Melissa!

RACE for the CURE
Saturday we participated in the “Susan G. Komen” Race for the Cure (Breast Cancer) at the Gateway. We went with my brother (Brady), Melissa (his girlfriend)and some other friends. There were about 17,000 people at the race. It was awesome to see so many people come and support a great cause!

Mr. and Mrs. Adams

Last weekend(April 25, 2008) our friends Tommy and Gwendolyn got married, they are both incredible people and will make a great team together. We are so happy for them and wish them the very best always! Matt had the honor of being a groomsman (He was a handsome one too!). They had a beautiful wedding.

Softball Fever!!!

We play on Co-ed softball teams together twice a week (Wednesday nights on Rally Monkeys team & Thursday nights on Advanced Vinyl Inc team) and Matt plays Monday nights with his men’s league (The Misfits). We are sooo EXCITED for it to start!!! Especially Matt, last year he couldn’t play because he had surgery on his knee (to fix his ACL) but he still was a good sport and came to watch the games. We have a blast and love to play!! We are optimistic for an awesome season for all our teams. Go Teams!!!!!!!!
